Following cancellation of the CAA IAB Conference 'Society, Architects and Emerging Issues' and the P2P (Projects to Partner) Forum due to take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh in March 2007 the 18th General Assembly (with Council meetings before and after), was held on the 17-18 April 2007 immediately prior to, and in collaboration with, the RAIA National Convention (19, 20, 21 April 2007), in Melbourne, Australia.  It was attended by SAIA President Hassan Asmal, Vice President Al Stratford and Llewellyn van Wyk who served as the CAA president for the past term.
