Ethics, conduct and complaints
SAIA members are bound by the Institute's Code of Ethics, and we take concerns seriously.
Concern about a SAIA member's conduct?
Please raise it first with your region, which knows its members and can often resolve matters locally. If it isn't resolved there, contact us nationally. Where a matter falls under the Architectural Profession Act, we'll help you take it to the statutory regulator.
Complaint about a SAIA service?
We acknowledge every complaint within 7 working days and respond in full within 21 working days.
Reporting in confidence.
You can raise a suspected breach of law, policy or ethics confidentially with the CEO at ceosaia@saia.org.za. If your concern involves the CEO, write to the SAIA President at president@saia.org.za. If it involves both, contact the Chair of SAIA's Ethics Committee. Anyone who reports in good faith is protected from retaliation.
